Pro Bush is a Charity Fundraising Exhibition and Auction, created by Artist and filmmaker Lorna Love to raise money and awareness for Addenbroke's Charitable Trust, one of the UK's key ovarian cancer research centres.Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer in females in the UK with around 6,600 new cases of ovarian cancer diagnosed each year, or 125 women a week, in the UK and rising.Mission:Introducing Pro Bush, 2010's star-studded Art exhibition and auction for the Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust, one of the UK's key cancer research centre, where Dr Helena Earl leads a team which aims specifically to combat ovarian cancer – the ‘silent killer'.Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer in females in the UK with around 6,600 new cases of ovarian cancer diagnosed each year, or 125 women a week, in the UK and rising.Statistics show that exhibitions, events, books and calendars that have been organized for charity are highly successful in raising money and equally important, awareness. Our goal is to build upon this model to produce a fearless and inspiring collection of artwork. The event's creative Director and founder is Artist and filmmaker Lorna Love, who alongside Curator Magdalene Keaney, will compose an exhibition of "portraits" that captures a diversity of women's "bushes" including all shapes, ethnic groups and backgrounds. The series of sitters vary from artists to businesswomen, actresses to models , the list is all-embracing.
