The International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE), a global voice for volunteering, at its Amsterdam declaration in 2001 adopted and seek the development of volunteerism to elicit the involvement of the entire community in identifying and addressing its problem; encourage and enable youth to make leadership through service a continuing part of their live; enable others to participate as volunteers; complements but does not substitute for responsible action by other sectors and the efforts of paid workers; enable people to acquire new knowledge, skill and to fully develop their personal potential, self-reliance and creativity; promote family, community, national and global solidarity. It is no doubt that volunteering is an essential element of all societies and "We, the Peoples" have the power to change Nigeria in particular and the world at large through the proper use of our passion, skill and time.In view of the foregoing, iVolunteer Naija, powered by Global Health- plus Initiative Nigeria (GHIN), Rural Health Mission Nigeria (RHMN) and other Partners is conceived as a platform to ensure;• Active engagement and partnership with government, non-governmental, corporate, private and civil society organizations to invest in skill building and open opportunities for willing volunteers.• Linking passionate volunteers with right skill and interest to organizations within the neighborhood and vice versa.• Creating enabling opportunities for innovation, transformation and nation building.
