Emarat Maritime operates a modern fleet of ships, recognized worldwide as the "Dubai Series". Commencing operation in 1990 with focus on the regional agricultural products trade, the Company changed its strategy with the turn of the century and acquired the first handymax bulk carrier in 2001. Since then there has been no looking back and the current fleet stands at ten modern handmax and Super handymax bulk carriers, Three modern Aframax crude oil tanker, one VLCC tanker, three container feeder vessels and one multipurpose vessel.
